One cannot talk about Tuscan cuisine without mentioning wines, Chianti Classico in particular. The wines from the area between Florence and Siena are medium- to full-bodied and go well with most foods from mild cheeses to poultry, from game to red meats, from hearty pasta to pork and even some seafood. The 1997 vintage is considered by many the best vintage of the last century, but always trust your host's advice for the best wine to go with your chosen food.
