Passion of Christ on Palm Sunday

A procession and historic re-enactment of the Passion of Christ is held in Florence each year on Palm Sunday. The procession, composed of about 600 of the components in the Good Friday Procession of Grassina, starts out from Palagio di Parte Guelfa to arrive in Piazza Signoria, after passing through Via Calimala, Piazza della Repubblica, Via Roma, Piazza San Giovanni, Piazza Duomo, Via Calzaioli. Jesus’s entrance into Jerusalem is then re-enacted.
